beautifulqalb:

On the day of judgement, everyone will be running screaming “Nafsi, nafsi!” or “Myself, myself!” you will look at your mother, brother, sister, father, daughter, son etc… and not care what happens to them. You will only be worried about yourself and what you did. Even the…

Hero

What really makes a hero? What makes a person worthy of ranking above and beyond the rest, what decides this status?

Is it an individual who dedicates their life towards being the best at what they do?

Somebody who dies trying to make a difference?

Somebody who fights battles physically and saves the day?

Fighting demons inside, silent war with no medals or notoriety, and success as silent as the battle itself?

Then again, what if we are all heroes. What if we knew how much we were capable of, how much the very gift of life meant and what it means to be given it. What if we chose all this. To be here and to live.

Would we hold special reverence to each and every day?

Would we treat each other better? Would we treat ourselves better?

Would we dismiss fear as something irrelevent, knowing the only choice for us is the right one?

"I want to tear myself from this place, from this reality, rise up like a cloud and float away, melt into this humid summer night and dissolve somewhere far, over the hills. But I am here, my legs blocks of concrete, my lungs empty of air, my throat burning. There will be no floating away."

naasirheydari:

All human relationships can flower in several directions. If you interact with people conventionally, you will develop a conventional relationship.

But you know better than that. When you look, look deeply. Find the reality behind the mask people put up, and speak directly to it. Then you will be something else, and all of your relationships will be of a different order.

Give up attachment.

This is a concept that, for most of us is so hard to grasp and I have to tell you that it was for me too, (it still is) but it’s not something impossible. You get better and better at with time and practice. The moment you detach yourself from all things, (and that doesn’t mean you give up your love for them – because love and attachment have nothing to do with one another,  attachment comes from a place of fear, while love… well, real love is pure, kind, and self less, where there is love there can’t be fear, and because of that, attachment and love cannot coexist) you become so peaceful, so tolerant, so kind, and so serene. You will get to a place where you will be able to understand all things without even trying. A state beyond words.
